The Common Stingray likes to bury itself on the ocean floor and uses the stinger on its tail to protect itself if anyone gets too close.

Scientific Name: Genus Dasyatis 

Characteristics: This Stingray figure is highly detailed and scientifically accurate, from the stinger on its tail to the spiracles behind its eyes. The fins of its flattened, disc-shaped body are undulating to simulate the movement of the Stingray as it swims through the water. 

Size and Color: This figure measures 7 inches to the tip of its tail and is 4 inches wide. It's slightly smaller than a standard pair of scissors. Its coloration is brown above with mottled markings to help it blend in with the sandy seabed, and white on its underside. The Sting Ray is part of the Incredible Creature's collection.
